Day 3

So today was the first day at Vanderlande. We arrived there on time and first got an introduction about the business, what they do. After that, we got to work with the ITSD team, that stands for IT Service Desk. There had to be a group of people in that room 24/7 (with changing shifts of course) so when one of the clients had a problem, they could call them.
In the room were also screens that showed the problems a system was having so that the team could solve them.
The guy talked to us about the systems that they used and how they could communicate with the client, also how they stored all the information and solved problems. "It's hacking, but it is legal!" another guy exclaimed.
After this interesting conversation, we had a two hour break. There was a McDonalds nearby so we just stayed there for a while. We also found a really nice spot, not far away from where the planes land and go.
After our break we were working with Harp from finances. He clearly explained the difficult terms and all the things he needs to do at work. He said "If finances isn't common sense, you're doing something wrong" because if you think clearly and logically about it, it is much easier than you think. Not only did we learn about Finances, also the various nicknames Harp gave his fellow workers, like "The one that dances like Rihanna' and one that always talks about America.
This first day was great and I am excited for tomorrow, since we will be going to the Terminal.
